Cole Camp is an historic town located where the Ozarks meet the great prairies in Benton County, Missouri. It is dated from its first post office in 1839, and it was the site of one of the first land battles of the Civil War. The town boasts several buildings dating from pre-Civil War times and the downtown is on the National Register of Historic Places.
Fordney School, is a one room shool house that was built in 1878. Was originally located on Fordney Road then relocated to Ezekiel Park in 2014.
The Cole Camp Fair is a well-known event that many people come to enjoy.
Christbaumfest is another event that happens yearly. There is a Christmas themed craft show and little shops to visit.
THE LITTLE SHOP. Is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. In 1913 was listed as a Tailor Shop, then went on to house a Dry Cleaning Business, A Cafe', an Antique Shop, a Resident, and two Beauty Shops.

After the Civil War and the Battle of Cole Camp, June 19, 1861, the Rebel force camped in and around Butterfield Park.
