The back of the Monument illustrates where the Districts were located in Germany, where most of the Immigrants migrated from.
The banner behind the Immigrant Memorial contains a number, the Immigrant's name, hometown, district abbreviation, and the Missouri county and year of settlement.
By looking on the back of the Monument, you can determine where approximately the immigrant came from.
